Resumen

En el presente artículo se analiza la problemática de la violencia contra las mujeres tomando como referencia las contribuciones de las perspectivas feminista y de la sociología de la violencia doméstica. Se intenta ubicar dicha problemática en el ámbito de ambos modelos teóricos y comprender sus ventajas e inconvenientes para el análisis del fenómeno. También se aborda la cuestión de la prevención y la intervención en este campo, haciendo especial hincapié en la experiencia portuguesa.

Abstract

The paper addresses the issue of violence against women within the framework of feminist theories and Sociology of violence in the family. The aim is to place the topic of violence against women in the crossroads of those two theoretical fields and to highlight the advantages and limitations of such an approach. The paper also addresses the issue of prevention and intervention in situations of violence against women in Portugal.
