El pleno ejercicio de dichos derechos permite al sujeto el libre desarrollo de su personalidad, uno de los principios constitucionales más relevantes. Estos derechos fundamentales cuentan, además, con la fortaleza que les confiere la figura de la garantía institucional ya que son idóneos para la creación de la opinión pública libre. El desarrollo de ellos deberá darse acorde al orden público protegido por la ley, y en concreto, con el respeto a otros derechos fundamentales, en especial el derecho al honor. En la práctica, la colisión entre la libertad de expresión y el derecho al honor suele ser bastante habitual. La jurisprudencia constitucional establece una serie de reglas para resolver este conflicto, que será objeto de estudio de esta investigación.</p><p> </p><p>Our democratic rule of law, together with the current Constitution, confers on citizens a number of fundamental rights, such as freedom of conscience, the right to freedom of expression and the right to freedom of information, which enjoy maximum protection. The full exercise of these rights allows the subject to freely develop his personality, one of the most relevant constitutional objects. These fundamental rights also have the strength afforded to them by the institutional guarantee figure as they are suitable for the creation of free public opinion. The development of them should be in accordance with the public order protected by law, and in particular with respect for other fundamental rights, in particular the right to honour. In practice, the collision between freedom of expression and the right to honour is often quite common.
