Abstract

The purpose of this work is to let know the levels found in hemolytic serum of ovine anaimals to which Sodium and Benzathine D (-) -aminobenzyl-penicillin (Ampicillin) were given orally and parenterally at doses of 15 ml/Kg body weight.
Sodium Ampicillin and Benxathine Ampicillin were determined from ovine werum by using the biological method based upont the inhibition grade of Sarcina lutea cultivated in an agar solid medium and on rectan­gular plates.
The interest of this work is to show to the clinic veterinarians the levels of the above mentioned antibiotic which has been lately put into national market and is available as therapeutical agent in the treatment of ovine animals.
